Equality Definition For Students
Equality is more commonly associated with social issues perhaps because more people know what it means.
Equality definition for students. In a nutshell its definition is as it sounds the state of being equal. Equity gives each student what he or she needs to perform at an acceptable level. In school education an equitable system could be defined as one in which all students are treated equally for example a system in which all students are given the same opportunities exposed to the same school curriculum taught by teachers with equivalent expertise held to the same learning expectations and provided with equivalent levels of resourcing and support. For example every school district gets the same level of funding.
The latter is the premise of the now defunct gonski model of education funding where each student is given what they need in order to achieve and that means some students would be given more. Equality gives each person the same. The right of different groups of people to have a similar social position and receive the same.
